Landon Grimes Leads RBI Native 18U Past Elkhorn Bombers 18U

Landon Grimes collected three hits in three at bats, as RBI Native 18U defeated Elkhorn Bombers 18U 13-3 on Friday. Grimes singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

RBI Native 18U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Grimes singled, and Elkhorn Bombers 18U committed an error, each scoring one run.

RBI Native 18U added one run in the second after Kason Hull singled.

RBI Native 18U scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Ryder Gibson doubled, scoring two runs, Connor Pratt singled, scoring one run, Shooter Boatright singled, scoring one run, Daxton Crawford hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Taj Smith drew a walk, scoring one run.

Andrew Hjorth took the loss for Elkhorn Bombers 18U. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out one and walking four. Rowdie Rock pitched one inning of zero-run ball for RBI Native 18U in relief. The righty surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking one.

RBI Native 18U accumulated 14 hits in the game. Hull, Grimes, and Gibson each drove in two runs for RBI Native 18U. Pratt and Austin Gibson each collected multiple hits for RBI Native 18U. Pratt, Gibson, and Grimes each stole multiple bases for RBI Native 18U. RBI Native 18U stole 11 bases in the game.

TY Thomsen went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Elkhorn Bombers 18U in hits. Eli Levra and Thomsen each drove in one run for Elkhorn Bombers 18U.
